About Savannah

Savannah was born in August 2004 and is now a happy 5 year old little girl that embraces each day with excitement and passion. Savannah’s personality is larger than life.
Savannah is our oldest child and arrived to our family through adoption after several years of anxious anticipation. We are so grateful for the miracle that Savannah is in our life. We now realize how the stars aligned to have the right child come into our home at just the right time. Savannah’s arrival could not have worked out more perfectly and we are so thankful to have her in our family.
Savannah’s grandpa nicknamed her “Sparkles” because of the sparkle she has in her eyes and for the spark she has for life. Savannah doesn’t let one moment of the day go to waste. She arises early, plays hard, and then rests hard when it’s time for bed.

Savannah is extremely well-rounded; even for a 5 year old. She loves singing, music, art, reading, and coloring. But she equally loves running, jumping, wrestling, riding her bike, playing soccer, dancing, or doing the monkey bars. She has set the goal to run in a 1 mile race this summer and has been very excited to get "training" for it.  She also really enjoys animals and is constantly asking for different pets.  Last summer she spent a lot of time collecting worms and bugs and keeping them in cups on our back steps and calling them her pets.

She’s an equal opportunity friend….that is, she plays with girls or boys, kids her own age or kids older or younger. She just loves to play and be active. Savannah also has a very soft heart and enjoys doing things for other people. She’ll often draw a picture for a friend or neighbor she’s thinking about and then delivers it to them at their door. At church, Savannah seems to know the names of everyone who attends from the youth on down to nursery aged children.
